Butterscotch Krispies Cups
An updated version of the Butterscotch treats my mom made me as a child.
The boys enjoyed them during last night's sleepover party.
6 c. Rice Krispies
1 (11 oz.) pkg. of butterscotch morsels
1 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 package of milk (or dark) chocolate morsels
frosting and sprinkles, if desired
Mix peanut butter and butterscotch morsels. Melt over low heat until creamy. Remove from heat. Stir in Rice Krispies. Mix until evenly coated. Spoon into paper lined cupcake pans.
Melt chocolate morsels over low heat. Stir constantly until completely melted. Remove from heat. Spoon one teaspoon of melted chocolate on each Rice Krispies Cup.
Refrigerate for two hours. Top with your choice of frosting and sprinkles, if desired.
